Jovani Ramperstad
Actor Jovani Rampersad’s most recent roles span a number of genres. She starred as an assassin in the sci-fi action thriller, Garbage Men. Her role as Francis in the web series Daddy’s Little Girl allowed her to showcase her dramatic talents. And when it comes to comic timing, Jovani gets the laughs. She regularly performs stand-up at open mic events and appeared in the comedic short film, The Interview as Mrs. Soren.
Jovani has honed her talent through intensive Meisner training under Robert Mello and Theatre training from The Alliance Theater. She developed her comedic style training at the renowned Upright Citizen’s Brigade in NYC and The Brink Improv with Ian Covell and Joel Byars in Atlanta. Her special skills include martial arts experience in which she regularly trains in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Born in Trinidad and of Indian descent her accents include British, Indian and Caribbean. Before she became an actor, Jovani worked as a Commercial Real Estate Executive and she earned her MBA with an emphasis in Environmental Management from the University of Liverpool. Jovani has been to more than 30 countries and considers traveling her passion-second only to acting.
